Day 1: Arrival-Nairobi

Welcome to Nairobi. An awaiting guide accompanies you to the Intercontinental Hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi

Our first day begins with the city tour and luncheon at an African barbeque famous Restaurant,the Carnivore Restaurant. A visit is also made to giraffe centre, quite literally face-to-face. Here a resident expert also presents a private briefing on the canters work to save the endangered Rothschild giraffe. Our sight seeing also includes the home of Karen Blixen, author of the inspired autobiography, Out of Africa. Dinner and Overnight at Intercontinental Hotel

Day 3: Amboseli

This morning we fly over the scenic Athi plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National park, home to the legendary Masaai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of elephants. An afternoon game run is planned. Overnight at Amboseli Serena,Oltukai Lodge.

Day 4: Amboseli

We awaken today to the sight and sounds of big game country. In addition to elephant, antelope, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and the rare black rhino, nearly every black vista in the park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. Overnight at Amboseli Serena,Oltukai Lodge.

Day 5: Treetop Lodge

This morning we fly to Nairobi and proceed to north, driving through lush tea and coffee estates to The Ark/Mountain Lodge. Nestled in the foothill between Aberdare and Mount Kenya National Park, the lodge is famous for its high perches and balconies, a salt lick and waterhole. Here we will enjoy the finest in high-altitude game viewing. Overnight at Treetop Lodge.

Day 6: Ol Pajeta Ranch

Today we travel to the exotic Sweet waters Tented Camp in the secluded heart of Ol Pajeta Ranch and Rhino Reserve. Here the magnificent beasts are given sanctuary from those who would take their lives to sell their horns. Here too, the Jane Goodall Institute operates a remarkable Chimpanzee sanctuary where you meet the primates face-to-face. Our camp also overlooks one of the busiest waterholes in the area and offers elephants, giraffe and myriad plains game. This is Africa as Teddy Roosevelt saw it years ago when he led one of the first safari to tour Africa in comfort and splendor. Overnight at Sweetwaters Camp.

Day 7: Mount Kenya Safari Club

Our destination today is the lovely Mount Kenya Safari Club. This exclusive club offers an experience of refined elegance and luxury, as well as a sense of Hollywood, thanks to its glamorous past. All of the amenities you would expect from a fine establishment are here, including horse stables, golf, trout streams, tennis and sauna. Fine dining, gracious hospitality and superb accommodation are sure to be highlights of our stay. Our accommodations are upgraded to either a spacious suite or delightful cottage. Day 8: Masaai Mara

This morning we fly to the Mara, winging west over the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the unspoiled savannah of the Masaai Mara. Many special events are planned here. We stay overnight in the unique atmosphere of the safari at one of the exclusive tented camps of the Mara. You might also consider a Hot Air Balloon Safari. Overnight at Mara Safari Club/Kichwa Tembo Camp.

Day 9 Masaai Mara

Today we get a closer look at the Mara during two extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus predators-cheetah and black-manned lion-hiding amidst acacia trees. We also savor a bush walk with an expert naturalist guide, experiencing the world of the Mara as if we are one with it. And during a Masaai village visit, we glimpse life so ancient and yet so enduring that it astonishes. Finally, the pinnacle of our stay, a Bush cocktail party at sunset, deep in the heart of the savannah. Overnight at Mara Safari Club/Kichwa Tembo Camp.

Day 10 Nairobi-Departure

After breakfast we fly to Nairobi and check into our hotel enjoying a final day to shop or revisit a favorite site. After dinner, we proceed to the airport for our return flight.
