Day1 - Nairobi, Kenya,Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport there will be a local representative to meet you and transfer you to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the Stanely Hotel. Day 2 - Aberdare/Tree Hotel.This morning after breakfast, you will depart for Aberdare arriving in good time for lunch. There after you will journey on to the Ark by bus. Enjoy the comforts of this unique lodge as the animals are drawn by the presence of salt lick and a flood lit water hole. After dinner you may watch them at close proximity as they are dramatically illuminated against the dark night. You can have a buzzer alert you during the night to see the animals that visit whilst you sleep. Dinner and overnight at the The Ark lodge. Day 3 - Samburu Game ReserveAfter breakfast you will be transferred back to the Aberdare Country Club to regroup and then proceed to Samburu. Enjoy afternoon game viewing in this Reserve which is noted for several species of animals not found in the southern parks. Your driver will be scouting for the reticulated giraffe, Gravy zebra, 'Somali' ostrich, Beisa Oryx, the graceful long-neck gerenuk and many more exciting animals. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Serena Lodge. Day 4 - SamburuA full day of game viewing awaits you. You have the opportunity to see a wide range of animals here. Leopards frequent the river areas and there are hippos and crocodile to see as well. Dinner and overnight at the Samburu Serena Lodge. Day 5 - Lake NakuruAfter breakfast you will proceed to Lake Nakuru, the ornithologist's dream comes true. This magical lake is home to sometimes over a million pink guests - the great flamingos - as well as nearly 500 other species of bird. Primarily a bird sanctuary, the 202 sq. km. park is also a black rhino sanctuary. Reed buck, hippo, leopard, waterbuck and giraffe can also be seen here. This park boasts the greatest concentration of leopard in Kenya. Dinner and overnight at Lion Hill Lodge. Day 6 - Masaai Mara Game ReserveThis morning after breakfast you will be on your way to the world's famous Masaai Mara. Arrive at the permanent deluxe tented camp in time for lunch. Each deluxe tent has its own en-suite bathroom. The Masaai Reserve is one of the world's greatest wildlife habitats featuring giraffe, ostrich, waterbuck, bushbuck, countless gazelles and antelopes, zebra, wildebeest and over 400 species of bird. This is also home to the famous "Big Five": lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant. After a short rest you will embark on afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Kichwa Tembo Camp.
Day 7 - Masaai Mara Game ReserveThe high altitude and humid conditions created by being located within the Lake Victoria district result in a temperate climate that is ideal for game country. The gently rolling landscape of the Mara is predominantly made up of savannah grasslands intersected with areas of dense acacia woodlands. On your morning and afternoon game drives you may see a wide variety of species. Dinner and overnight at Kichwa Tembo Camp. Day 8 - Masaai Mara / SerengetiYou will depart with picnic boxes after breakfast. Then, you will be driven to the Isebania border where you will meet with your Tanzanian driver. After a picnic lunch en route, continue your game drive and arrive in the Serengeti this afternoon. There will be another game drive on your way to the lodge this evening. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge. Day 9 - Serengeti National ParkAfter breakfast proceed on a morning game drive, returning to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, another game drive awaits you so you can further explore this wonderful park. The Serengeti contains millions of animals within four habitats: Open plains in the south, savanna and scattered acacia woodlands in the center, hilly, wooded grasslands in the north and extensive woodlands with black clay plains in the west. The landscape also features dramatic rocky outcrops called "kopjes" that are havens for lions and birds of prey. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge. Day 10 - Serengeti / NgorongoroEarly this morning - travel to the Olduvai Gorge, the spot where Dr. & Mrs. Leakey found remains of a Zinthropolus skull, you will later proceed to the crater. The crater rim is at an altitude of 7,500 ft. ensuring cool evenings. From the rim, the vast floor of the crater spreads out 2,000 ft. below providing spectacular views from the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Day 11 - Ngorongoro CraterAfter breakfast you will descend into the crater where you will be spending a full day. It is estimated that more than 30,000 animals are to be found within the crater wall at any one time. Because the crater floor is mostly flat grassland, with patches of acacia woodland, game viewing is excellent. Game here includes wildebeest, zebra, hartebeest, Thomson's and Grant's gazelles, lions, hyenas, buffalo, hippo and black rhino. There are no giraffes because the walls are too steep for them to access in and out of the crater. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Day 12 - Ngorongoro / Lake ManyaraAfter breakfast, you will journey on to Lake Manyara, where you should arrive by lunch. The lodges are situated on the Mto Wa Mbu escarpment, overlooking the Great Rift Valley and the Soda Lake Manyara. There will be an afternoon game drive in the Lake Manyara Park. Lake Manyara has a variety of habitats with a spectacular diversity of animals and birds. Wildlife includes blue and vervet monkeys, baboons, lion, impala, elephant, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, hundreds of species of birds and a few rhino. There is also a great hippo pool in the reserve and you may even see the tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Day 13 - Lake Manyara / Arusha / HomeAfter breakfast, drive back to Arusha where you will have lunch. Then drive back to Nairobi for your international flight home.
