Climate

Generally the climate is warm and humid at the coast, cool and humid in the central highlands and hot and dry in the north and east in June, July and August - The weather is coolest in these months and the country is refreshingly green in September, October and November - Delightful times to visit East Africa -- can be compared to springtime in the Jacaranda and other trees are bursting into blossom. Scattered rains in November only freshens the country and lay the dust, although they can sometimes be heavy - These are the 'summer' months.

NATIONAL PARKS AND RESERVES

Kenya has more than twenty national parks, making it the most popular safari destination in all of Africa. The Kenya Government, the Kenya Wild life Service and other conservation bodies have done much to ensure that the parks are kept pristine and poachers kept out.

Consequently, though Kenya's parks are the continent's most visited, they are also among the richest in natural beauty and wildlife.

The Wildebeest migration is one of the most amazing natural spectacles. Game can be seen year round, but migration takes place in May/June, July/August and again in September/October.
