Rates

All rates by Lion Kenya Tours & Travel are based on exchange rates, airfares, land costs prevailing at the time of publication of price lists and are subject to change especially in cases subsequently affected by government action or other influence beyond our control and in this case the client will be duly informed.

Lion Kenya Tours & Travel Rates include all expenses in connection with itinerary as follows;

• All lodges and hotel accommodation with full meals as per the itinerary.
• Hotel arrangements are on a full board basis while on Safari unless otherwise stated.
• Air costs for regional charter flights indicated in the itinerary will also be included in the rates.
• Entrance fees to all places of interest and to all wildlife reserves included in the itinerary.
• Safari car with an English-speaking driver guide is also included in the rates.

Rates Exclude;

• International flight charges from any client's country of origin.
• Visa charges.
• Airport taxes paid in Kenya or abroad.
• Gratuities (Tip).
• Charges on beverages, laundry, optional excursions and other items of personal nature.

Reservations

To confirm and book we require 50% Deposit to be transferred through bank details. Remaining balance to be covered before any service is rendered. Please be advised that our preferred method of payment is by cheque. Credit Cards attract a processing surcharge.

Terms of Reservation

• The reservation fee is fully refundable if a cancellation is made 90 and 41 days prior to the start of tour
• Cancellations made between 40 and 36 days prior to start of tour will incur a cancellation fee of 10% of the total tour fee.
• Cancellations made between 35 and 15 days prior to start of tour will incur a cancellation fee of 20% of the total tour fee.
• Cancellations made between 14 and 8 days prior to start of tour will incur a cancellation fee of 35% of the total tour fee.
• Cancellations made between 7 to 0 days prior to start of tour will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total tour fee.
• If you are making a reservation less than 15 days prior to the start of tour 100% payment must be made to accept the reservation.
• Reservation fees are not refundable for tours already paid fully and 7days prior to start of tour.
• Lion Kenya Tours & Travel reserves the right to cancel a reservation if payment is not received on time, in which case cancellation fees will apply.

Accommodation

Most of the rooms booked are booked on the basis of two persons sharing a double room. Single rooms are available at supplementary costs. Hotels and lodges where mentioned,are named as an indication of category and rooms may be reserved at alternate hotels or lodges that offer the same level and quality of service. Hotels are chosen based on criteria including comfort and cleanliness. Please note that a "twin room" will have two single beds placed side by side.

Transportation

Safari minibuses, Safari 4WD Land cruisers, Cars or Coaches will be provided according to the route and number of participants. English Speaking driver guides are provided.

Optional Excursions

Optional excursions may be purchased up to 30 days prior to departure or while on tour. Pre-purchased optional excursions are subject to a 10% per excursion cancellation fee.

Liability

Lion Kenya Tours & Travel acts only as an agent for the owners, contractors and suppliers providing means of transportation and/or all related travel services and assumes no responsibility whatsoever for injury, personal illness, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from an act of Nature, detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts or pilferage, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, Civil disturbances, terrorism, Government restrictions or regulations, Discrepancies or changes in hotel services in which it has no control.

Itinerary Changes

Lion Kenya Tours & Travel reserves the right to make reasonable changes in the itinerary when deemed advisable for the comfort and safety of passengers, which includes but is not limited to the substitution of hotels, alteration of the itinerary and reversing the order of the places to be visited.
Lion Kenya Tours & Travel also reserves the right to employ subcontractors to carry out all or any part of the services agreed upon.

Travelers Insurance

You are advised to buy Travel Insurance through your agent before coming to East Africa, but local evacuation coverage is available in the unlikely event of a medical emergency while out in the bush. Please request this at the time of booking.
